Strengthening Collaborations with other Fusion Leaders.
In Autumn this year, digiLab opened a new office at the Innovation Centre in the UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) Culham Campus.
Located in the heart of the Culham Science Centre, home of UKAEA and Culham Centre for Fusion Energy (CCFE), the Innovation Centre hosts several other digiLab and UKAEA partners, enabling digiLab to join a unique fusion community at one of Europe’s leading science and technology centres.
Amanda Niedfeldt, Head of Business Development, says: "Establishing a presence at the Culham Campus marks an exciting milestone for digiLab. The Innovation Centre is the ideal location for pioneers in science and technology industries, such as digiLab, to foster collaboration and drive innovation within the fusion ecosystem with other fusion leaders.”
This office represents a significant step towards solidifying digiLab’s position at the forefront of the industry, further strengthening digiLab as the AI partner for fusion. digiLab’s in-house fusion team is already based at the new office - with Dr. Cyd Cowley, and Dr. Dan Greenhouse, two of digiLab’s Fusion Solutions Engineers, and Ethan Hargrove, a Machine Learning Engineer settling into the new office.
This also marks the deepening of digiLab’s partnership with the UKAEA. The physical presence in Culham Campus has already enabled easier in-person collaborations and will continue to support ongoing projects across the Authority as well as with digiLab’s clients.
